Best cheap used cars with heated seats

1. Mazda CX-3

Best cheap used car with heated seats for SUV lovers

Used deals from £14,560
Monthly finance from £221*

The Mazda CX-3's distinctive design makes it a striking proposition, even though the model was first introduced back in 2015. It's both well-made and reliable, but it also proves a fun car to drive, well-suited to both town driving and country lanes. It shares many of its underpinnings with the Mazda 2, and while it may be a little cramped, there's enough room for a growing family.

Look for a well-equipped Sport Nav model to get other luxuries including a head-up display, reversing camera, and automatic lights and wipers. Unlike many of its city-dwelling rivals, you can get four-wheel-drive versions of the CX-3, as well as a choice of petrol and diesel engines, and manual and automatic gearboxes.

2. Nissan Juke

Best cheap used car with heated seats for individuality

Used deals from £9,829
Monthly finance from £188*

While the Nissan Juke is faced with countless rivals (the Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008 to name but two), none can touch the Juke for stand out styling. Looks aside, the Juke offers buyers a cracking mix of affordability, tech and relatively low running costs.

When looking around for Jukes with heated seats you will likely find many Tekna models, which is good, as this high-specification model is one of the most desirable Juke models. A large number of Jukes for sale will be diesels with a manual gearbox, but the turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine suits the car very well, making it a wise choice for value, reasonable performance and low running costs.

3. Smart ForTwo

Best cheap used car with heated seats for city driving

Used deals from £9,726
Monthly finance from £181*
Mercedes-owned Smart makes surprisingly upmarket small cars – who would've thought it offers the ForTwo city car with heated seats? Such luxuries are a rarity in the city car market segment, so the fact the ForTwo has them, plus decent levels of equipment and strong build quality, really helps the ForTwo stand out from the crowd.

As an added bonus, buyers with a £10,000 budget should be able to choose between Coupe and Cabrio (soft top) models and similarly affordable finance costs, with rock-bottom monthly payments, should you opt for PCP finance.

There is no choice when it comes to type of fuel though, with all models being petrol-powered. There is a choice of trim and gearbox, however, of which Prime Premium is the spec to buy, but whether a manual or automatic is best will be down to personal preference.

4. Smart ForFour

Best cheap used car with heated seats for city driving with four seats

Used deals from £8,551
Monthly finance from £164*

Back in the day, Smart decided that people didn’t really need more than two seats, and launched what is affectionately referred to as the original Smart car. As the years rolled by, Smart realised that perhaps a couple of extra pews could be a good idea – and thus, the ForFour was born.

Much like the ForTwo above, the ForFour offers a well-built interior, low running costs and is perfectly suited to driving in the urban environment - with far greater practicality, thanks to the addition of two more seats.

Sadly there is no ForFour Cabrio, but again, buyers can pick between automatic and manual transmissions. Engine wise, those on offer are the same as those used in the Smart ForTwo, so petrol is your only option. As for specification, Prime models are a sweet spot in the range.

5. Toyota Auris

Best cheap used car with heated seats for conventional hatchback fans

Used deals from £9,548
Monthly finance from £217*

Toyota ceased sales of the Auris during 2018 and replaced it with the new Toyota Corolla – not because the Auris is a bad car, but because the Auris is so unmemorable the Japanese manufacturer decided to bring back the well-known Corolla name, presumable to try and boost sales. As such, the Auris and its extinct name became less sought-after, meaning you should find some good deals on this well-built car. If you want a sturdy, reliable and sensible hatchback, the Auris is perfect; you might even be able to stretch to a model with part its five-year/100,000-mile warranty left for less than £10,000.

Of the engines available, the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol is the one to go for, unless you are doing mega motorway miles each year in which case a diesel could be better. Likewise, Business Edition offers a good balance of technology and cost, but others such as Design are still worth a look. Many buyers opted for the hybrid model, which should easily return upwards of 60mpg under the right conditions.

6. Vauxhall Corsa

Best cheap used car with heated seats for all-round motoring

Used deals from £7,199
Monthly finance from £134*

The Vauxhall Corsa regularly forms one half of the battle to be crowned the UK's most popular car alongside the Ford Fiesta. While the Fiesta is a great quality car, used Vauxhall Corsas equipped with heated seats appear to be better value than the equivalent Fiesta.

The Corsa is well-built inside, cheap to run and offers a very good mix of equipment and affordability as a second-hand purchase. Plus, it puts all the others on this list to shame with regards to the breadth of variants available with heated seats for under £10,000 - with the option of even more affordable finance deals.

You want a diesel? No problem. An automatic petrol? Absolutely fine. A three-door manual petrol in white? There are more than you can shake a stick at.

While hunting through your many options, SE and SE Nav models are good picks as they come very well equipped. Meanwhile Energy models (one of the more common options you will see) sit in the middle of the Corsa range but still pack decent amounts of equipment.

7. Vauxhall Mokka X

Best cheap used car with heated seats for 4x4 enthusiasts

Used deals from £13,999
Monthly finance from £237*

The Vauxhall Mokka X is similar to the Corsa in many ways. It has a good quality cabin, decent levels of equipment throughout the range (with select models featuring heated seats, of course) and comes with the option of relatively frugal engines.

The most affordable models will be petrol-powered SE models with a manual gearbox. Even so, a bit of digging should turn up the odd diesel and/or automatic as well. There are also four-wheel drive Mokka X models out there, however expect to pay a premium for this - both in terms of higher purchase costs and worse fuel economy.

8. Volkswagen Up

Best cheap used car with heated seats for cute styling

Used deals from £10,916
Monthly finance from £201*

The Volkswagen Up offers an overall package that is arguably the best within the city car market. It combines practicality, affordability and driving experience in a way that blows much of its competition out of the water. It's better equipped than the Skoda Citigo for example, and if you can find one with heated seats you are on to a winner.

While there are five-door automatics for sale on the market, at this price point three-door manuals are likely to be your main option. Similarly, the only choice of fuel type is petrol, but this is standard across the city car sector. This is no hardship, though, as even three-door versions are very practical for a city car, and the petrol engines are both frugal and suitably punchy for town driving.

9. Ford Fiesta ST

Best cheap used car with heated seats for hot hatch performance

Used deals from £6,499
Monthly finance from £152*

The previous generation Ford Fiesta ST is one of the most exciting-to-drive hatchbacks of the 21st century so far. Don’t believe us? Go read some reviews and you soon will. With a new Fiesta arriving in 2018, prices for the previous generation ST have plummeted, making it a fantastic value hot hatchback.

As a result £10,000 should be just enough to pick up an ST with heated seats and it's even better value if you take finance, with particularly low monthly payments for the value of the car.

When it comes to trim level you will be looking at ST-2 or ST-3 models, while you don't have to worry about a choice of engine or gearbox - there's only one combination. It is a brilliant one though – a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing up to 200hp with a manual gearbox, which will fire the hot Fiesta from 0 to 62mph in just 6.9 seconds.

10. Volvo V40

Best cheap used car with heated seats for uncompromising safety

Used deals from £9,799
Monthly finance from £223*

Volvo and safety are like two peas in a pod – designing cars to withstand a collision with a fully grown moose will do that for you. On top of a full five-star Euro NCAP crash test safety rating, the V40 offers a refined driving experience, frugal engines and decent performance.

That said, you may need to stretch your £10,000 budget somewhat to afford a V40 with heated seats, as decent options don’t start cropping up until £11,000 to £12,000. Opt for finance, however, and monthly payments should prove far more palatable.

All models with heated seats come well-equipped but R-Design models have the added appeal of more sporty styling. As for engines and transmissions, you should have the choice of petrol or diesel power, but all models will likely be manuals.
